3 day /2 nights Machu Picchu and Cusco

This tour begins the moment you step off the plane in Cusco. Our airport shuttle will pick you up from the airport and take you to your Cusco hotel to drop off your luggage.

Day 1:

The immersive Day 1 begins in Cusco, the historic capital of the Inca Empire, where travelers acclimate to the Andean altitude:  

• The tour begins by visiting the Koricancha Temple, a preserved Inca palace and worship center in Cusco’s Historic Center.  

• From there, the tour visits Plaza de Armas (the main square) and the Cathedral Basilica (a historic catholic temple) before heading on to the Sacsayhuamán Fortress (15th century Inca ruins and Qenko archeological site).

The second day begins with a 2-hour, mid-morning (8:45 -10:30 AM) commute from Cusco to the Ollantaytambo train station. 

• A scenic train ride on Inca Rail Frequency 43 via The Voyager Machu Picchu Train leads to Aguas Calientes, the gateway to Machu Picchu.  
• Our staff will be awaiting your arrival in the Machu Picchu Pueblo. After the 5-minute walk to the bus station, your guide will show you recommendations for where to eat and how to find them from the bus station.  
• After arriving at the bus station, you will board a Consettur tour bus for a 30-40-minute ride to the entrance of Machu Picchu. The well-appointed buses offer a very comfortable riding experience. The spacious, soft seats offer the perfect place to enjoy views of the Andean mountainside through the large, panoramic windows.
